About Earnestly

Created with purpose. Built with heart.

Every story has a beginning. Here's a little of ours.

01 / Faith

Faith is the foundation.

First and foremost, I'm a disciple of Jesus Christ.

That might seem like an unusual way to introduce myself on a business website, but I don't believe it is.

My faith is central to who I am, and naturally, it shapes the work I do. It's part of what inspired the name Earnestly. It informs the standard of excellence I strive for, the way I treat people, and the work I choose to take on.

My desire is simple: to work with integrity, love people well, and create things that I believe honor the Lord. That doesn't mean I can participate in or affirm everything, but it does mean I want every interaction to reflect genuine care and respect.

02 / Creativity

A creative who happens to be an engineer.

Long before I became an engineer, I was a kid on YouTube.

I tried drawing, painting, and even poetry. None of those quite stuck, though I gave them a fair shot.

Then there was video.

Like plenty of kids growing up with YouTube, I dreamed of becoming a YouTuber. Looking back at those early videos, I recognize something I didn't quite understand at the time: I was learning how to tell stories.

Some were silly. Some were experiments. But the desire to communicate something through a camera was already there.

In high school, I picked up my first DSLR and discovered how much a photograph could say without a single word. In college, I found my way back to video, and that passion continued to grow.

Over the years, I've had the opportunity to capture photographs and create films that preserve moments we might otherwise lose as memories fade.

It's work I'm grateful to do, and work I hope to continue doing for years to come.

03 / Curiosity

Curiosity opened another door.

Interestingly enough, YouTube helped lead me to engineering, too.

Originally, I wanted to be a mechanic. I liked cars, so fixing them seemed like the perfect career. It was a pretty straightforward plan — until my mom said no.

I don't remember her exact reasoning, but I remember that was enough for me to reconsider.

Somewhere along the way, YouTube helped me learn to repair my first iPhone and my PlayStation 3. The PlayStation needed fixing more than once, but every attempt made me more curious about technology and how things worked.

By the time college applications came around, that curiosity had grown into an interest in computer science and computer engineering.

I nearly didn't apply to Georgia Tech because I was so convinced I wouldn't get in. Thankfully, my mom encouraged me to try.

I was accepted, and I went on to study Computer Engineering.

Two degrees and eight years of corporate engineering experience later, I've learned an incredible amount about building technology and solving problems.

But I began to think more deeply about where I wanted to apply that experience.

04 / Purpose

Why Earnestly?

There are meaningful ideas that will never emerge from a corporate product roadmap.

Not because they aren't valuable, but sometimes because they don't fit a company's priorities, aren't considered profitable enough, or simply haven't been imagined by the people making those decisions.

But you've imagined them.

Maybe you've experienced a problem that needs solving. Maybe you've discovered a better way to help people. Maybe you've lived through something that inspired an idea you can't seem to put down.

Or perhaps there's a moment, a person, or a message you want to capture and share.

There's a story behind it. And that story matters.

I believe understanding that story changes what we create.

Without it, we risk building software that functions but doesn't truly serve the people who need it. We risk producing beautiful imagery that misses the meaning of the moment.

When we understand the why, we can make better decisions about the what and the how.

That's what I want Earnestly to be about.

A place where engineering and creativity come together to serve the people, ideas, and experiences behind the work.

Not simply delivering a product, but creating something thoughtfully shaped by the story that inspired it.

05 / Your story

Let's create something meaningful.

Whether you're developing an application, finding a better way for your business to operate, or capturing a moment you never want to forget, I'd love to hear what brought you here.

I believe there are stories worth telling and ideas worth bringing into the world that only you could have imagined.

And I'd be grateful for the opportunity to help you bring yours to life.
